The Headquarters Company 9th Marine Regiment 3rd Marine Division began it's "tour of duty" in the Republic of Vietnam on 4 July 1965 when it arrived from Okinawa along with 2/9 to join up with sister battalion 3/9 that had deployed RVN on 8 March 1965.  During the next four years the 9th Marines would have at one time or another nearly every combat Marine Battalion under its command.

This site is dedicated to all the Marines and Corpsmen that had their names on the "rosters" of HqCo9thMarReg3rdMarDiv and to all veterans that have served and are serving.
